Hello Reader,
Welcome to this week's issue of The SQ1 Reader.
What do we have in the newsletter today?
How much?!
Two hundred and thirty-three thousand dollars?
That's how much an American feels they need to be financially comfortable?
Goodness me that's an absurdly high number for those of us living outside the US.
In Japanese yen that is an astonishingly high 34 million seven-hundred and ninety-five thousand yen a year!!!
Why do they feel like they need that much to get by?
to get by = to afford to pay your living expenses
Basically, all living expenses in America are higher.
Average rent is higher.
Average health care costs. MUCH higher.
Cost of attending college. Even higher.
Interest in just how expensive it is to live in America?
Watch the video below.
It's also good practice for a TOEIC test as it has got lots of facts and figures.
